WANATU begins with a simple question: "Where to?”
It’s a question we’ve all asked — before a get-together, a night out, an early flight, or a long day at work — but for Van Rooy van den Berg and his family, that question began to mean something different.
When his sons were at university, there was one thing that wasn’t negotiable: safety. They never wanted their girlfriends to ride alone in an Uber. If there was a ride, they went along — just to make sure everyone got home safely.
Naturally, over time, it cost a few rand…
But more important than the money was the realisation: there had to be a better way.
A service where you don’t have to wonder if someone will arrive safely.
A service built on planning and accountability.
